📦 Professional Packing Service

Packing done right — cardboard shell, not a sloppy wrap.

Day-before-move packing by the same vetted W-2 crew that does your move. Fragile pieces get a built-up cardboard shell before the wrap goes on. Glass tabletops, mirrors, art, china, electronics — the level of care most movers reserve for high-value clients, standard for all of ours.

How Packing Is Priced

Three components. That’s it.

No fuel charges. No mileage. No surprise add-ons. Just travel + labor + materials.

1. Travel Fee
$50
Flat fee, one-time. Covers crew dispatch and travel time to your location.

2. Hourly Labor
$50/hr
Per packer, per hour. 15-minute increments. Most 2-bedroom homes pack in 4–6 hours with a 2-person crew.

3. Materials
At cost
Boxes, paper, bubble wrap, tape — billed at our supplier cost, no markup. Usually $80–$200 for a 2BR home.

Typical 2-bedroom home estimate:
$50 travel + 5 hours × 2 packers × $50 = $500 labor + ~$120 materials =
~$670 total

How we got there

Why a range? Fragile-item count and how organized your closets already are both affect time. Materials are billed at supplier cost. The price you see is the price you pay.

Why Our Packing

Three things that make our packing different.

01

Cardboard shell on high-value pieces.

Glass tabletops, mirrors, large frames, marble pieces — these don’t just get blanket-wrapped. We build a custom cardboard shell around them, taped tight, before the moving blanket goes on. That’s why fragile pieces survive our moves.

02

Same crew packs and moves.

Day-before packing, day-of moving — same crew, same hands. They know what they boxed, where it goes, and which boxes are fragile. No “where’s the box with the kitchen stuff?” guessing on move day.

03

Materials at supplier cost.

Most movers mark up packing materials 50–100%. We bill them at our actual supplier cost. A 2BR home is usually $80–$200 in materials — same price you’d pay at U-Haul, but we bring them and dispose of them after.

Packing FAQ

Questions customers ask before booking packing.

Do you pack the day before the move or the same day?
Both — your call. Most customers prefer day-before so move day is just loading and unloading. For smaller homes (studios, 1BRs), same-day pack-and-move is doable in a long day with a larger crew.
Can I pack some things myself and have you pack the rest?
Yes — we call this “partial packing” and it’s common. Most customers self-pack their bedroom and personal items, and have us handle the kitchen, china cabinet, art, and electronics (the time-consuming and breakable stuff). Tell us on the booking call which rooms you want covered.
What about disassembling beds, tables, and furniture?
Included in the packing labor — no extra charge. We disassemble for transit and reassemble at the destination if you’ve also booked the move with us. Hardware is bagged, labeled, and taped to the underside of the piece.
Do you provide the boxes and materials, or do I need to buy them?
We provide them. Billed at our supplier cost, no markup. We bring more than we need and only charge for what’s used. Leftover materials go back with us.
What about pianos, gun safes, pool tables, and hot tubs?
We handle all of those during the move with no specialty surcharge on local moves. For packing specifically — pianos and pool tables don’t need packing per se, but if you have a hot tub, we’ll wrap and prep it for transit during the packing visit.
Can you pack and store, then move later?
Yes — we offer short-term storage at our Lawrenceville facility. Useful when closing dates don’t line up. Pricing depends on duration and volume. Mention this on the booking call.
Is packing labor charged the same as moving labor?
No — packing is $50/man-hour. Moving labor is bundled into the move tier ($325/$415/$525 base + hourly). If you book packing AND moving, they’re billed separately so you see exactly what each costs.
