The Rate Sheet

Four numbers. That’s it.

Most long-distance “movers” quote you a vague total and adjust on delivery day. We don’t. Here’s the four-line math we use — including the hotel cost on overnight runs, which most “movers” leave out until they hand you the final bill.

🛣

Mileage

Door-to-door distance from your origin to your destination. Gas and driver included — no fuel surcharges, no per-day padding.

$3.50per mile

📅

Transit

Per-day rate for the crew while your stuff is on the road. A 500-mile move runs about a day. A 1,500-mile move runs 2–3.

$175per day

🛏

Hotel (when applicable)

Federal regs require a stop after 8 hours of driving — so any trip over ~440 miles needs at least one overnight. We pay $200/night and pass it through with no markup.

$200per night

💪

Loading + Unloading

Per man, per hour, at each end — billed separately for the load at origin and the unload at destination. Crew sized to home: 2-man for studios, 3-man for 2BR, 4-man for 3BR+.

$55per man-hour

No weight scales. No broker fees. No “binding estimate” fine print. Four transparent numbers, every time — including the hotel cost up front, not as a surprise on delivery day.

The Math

Three real routes. Three real prices.

Three real routes, three different home sizes, three different crew sizes. Your actual quote depends on your home — but the line items always look like this. No mystery numbers, no “miscellaneous fees.”

Unloading at destination (4 hrs × 2 men × $55)$440

How we got there

Why a range? Real distance, real load time, real road conditions. The number on this screen is the worst case — most moves come in below the high end. The price we quote is the price you pay.

How It Works

Three days. One crew.

DAY1

Load up.

Crew arrives at your Atlanta home. Floor protection down, furniture wrapped, truck loaded tight. You sign off on the inventory before we leave.

DAYS2–3

On the road.

Your stuff stays on our truck. No transfers, no other people’s loads mixed in, no warehouse stops. The crew checks in by text along the route.

DAY3+

Unload.

Same crew, your new front door, in the time window we promised. Floor protection at the destination. Pieces placed where you tell us. Done.

Why Liberty Pro for Long-Distance

Three things most “long-distance movers” can’t honestly say.

01

We are the mover.

Most “long-distance” companies are brokers — they take your deposit and hand your stuff off to whoever picks it up. We don’t. Our truck. Our crew. Start to finish.

02

Mileage-based, not weight-based.

Weight-based pricing is where the scams live — your stuff hits a scale, the number “comes back high,” and the bill doubles. Our price is per mile + per day + per hour. You can do the math yourself.

03

The owner answers in transit.

Day 2, your stuff is somewhere between Atlanta and Tampa. You can text the owner and get a real answer in minutes — not a 1-800 number that puts you on hold for an hour.

Long-Distance FAQ

The questions every long-distance customer should ask.

Are you a broker or an actual moving company?
We are the actual mover. USDOT 3163467, MC 112877-C, our truck, our W-2 crew. The crew that loads you in Atlanta is the crew that unloads you at your destination. If you’re being quoted by anyone whose answer to this question isn’t a confident “we’re the mover” — keep shopping. Brokers add 20–40% with no value.
Will my stuff be transferred to another truck?
No. Your load stays on our truck for the entire trip. No warehouse stops, no co-loads with other customers’ belongings, no handoffs to a partner carrier.
How long does the move take?
As a rule of thumb: under 500 miles is 2 days end-to-end. 500–1,000 miles is 3 days. 1,000–2,000 miles is 4–5 days. Coast-to-coast is 5–7. We give you a specific window when we lock the booking.
How is long-distance priced — by weight, by cubic feet, or what?
Three numbers: $3.50/mile + $175/day in transit + $55/man-hour for loading and unloading. No weight scales (that’s where most scams happen), no cubic-foot-fudge, no “binding estimate” fine print.
Can I track my stuff while it’s on the road?
Yes — text the owner at any point. You’ll get a check-in text from the crew at each stop. No mystery, no “your driver is unreachable” run-around.
How much lead time do you need to book?
Most long-distance bookings need 7+ days lead time. Tight timelines (3–5 days) are sometimes possible — text the owner directly to check.
What if I don’t have everything packed when you arrive?
We can pack for you at $50 travel fee + $50/man-hour. You can also do a hybrid — you pack what you can, we pack the kitchen, the closets, and the breakables. Tell us when you book.
What about insurance — is my stuff covered in transit?
Yes. Cargo and liability coverage through Progressive on every interstate move. Federal regulation also requires released-value protection at $0.60/lb minimum, with optional full-value coverage available — we’ll walk through the options when you book.
Do you offer storage if my new place isn’t ready?
Yes. We can hold your load short-term — pricing depends on duration. Mention it on the booking call.
